Changing leaves, woolly socks, pumpkin spice (and everything nice)… A new season has come blustering in – and with it, a fresh Jellyfriends spotlight.

This month: peanutbutter.and.jellycat, a teacher and travel enthusiast with a Jellycat for every stop along the way.

Sparked by one very chic Amuseables Cauliflower, shelves began to fill, quickly joined by Amuseables Peanut, now a frequent flyer (and unexpected social media star!). 

Passport at the ready? All aboard... 

Hello there! Could you tell us a little about yourself?

“My name is Sunny Tang and I’m a Toronto-based elementary school teacher with a soft spot for Special Education, and an even softer spot for my adorable Jellies. 

“When summer hits, I jet-set around the world – Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia, Hong Kong... You name it, the Jellies have posed there. 

“Nothing beats coming home to their squishy little smiles. It's the kind of joy a passport stamp can’t buy!”

Which Jellycat was the first to catch your eye? What was it about them?

“The Jellycat that stole my heart? The fabulously frilly and ferociously cute Amuseables Cauliflower. I couldn’t resist those soft, muted tones and the ridiculously luxe fabrics – honestly, it’s like cauliflower couture. A total veggie icon.”

How did your collection begin?

“After that first encounter, every time I passed a Jellycat display I’d think, 'Hmm… who would be the perfect BFF for my cauliflower?'.

“One turned into a vegetable patch, then a garden, then… well, everything! Fast forward to today: I’m proudly the parent of over 200 Jellycat soft toys – and yes, they absolutely have shelf real estate and main character energy.”

Any fun memories or stories involving your Jellies? 

“On one of my travels, mid-flight on Firefly Airlines, Amuseables Peanut was living his best life – snacking, lounging, posing like a celeb. I snapped a few pics, tossed them on Instagram, tagged the airline, and moved on. 

“A few days later, the airline contacted me to ask whether Peanut wanted to star in a social media advert. They turned my pics into the cheekiest and cutest video ever. It was surreal and absolutely nuts (pun intended). A true peanut-turned-influencer moment.”

If you had to choose… who’s your current favourite?

“If I had to pick a favourite (and I can already feel the silent judgement of 200 eyes on me right now), it’s got to be Amuseables Peanut. He’s absurdly cute, perfectly pocket-sized, and my ultimate travel buddy. 

“Sorry to the rest of the gang, but he’s just got the most adorable little smile!”

What’s one small thing that brings you joy?

“After a long, chaotic day, nothing melts my stress faster than coming home to my Jellycat squad. It's like an instant dose of positivity.”

Any tips for fellow Jellyfriends just starting their collection?

“I promise you, you’ll never stop at just one. My rule? Snag the Jellies you love fast, because once they’re gone, they’re gone!”
