The flicks shaking up the silver screen this season.

Lights, camera, action!

She may be the Jelly Journal’s resident movie buff, but even Odell Octopus can’t keep up with the masterpieces hitting the big screen this season.

So, she’s turned to her trusted friends for their recommendations to build the ultimate watchlist. Readers, take note – these are classics in the making...

A Recipe for Adventure

**Reviewed by Bartholomew Bear **

Cinema at its most deliciously tense, charting one bear’s dream to cook in some of the wildest environments on earth. Think avocado toast in the Amazon; halloumi fries in the Himalayas; omelettes in the Outback.

Come for a culinary feast for the eyes, stay for the stunt work from Amuseables Peanut as the gravity-defying sous chef.

“His attempt to sauté sweet potatoes while scaling Everest has inspired me to get a bit more adventurous at dinner parties. Last week, I served dessert as the entrée!”

S'mores Than Meets The Eye

Reviewed by Amuseables S’mores

A new folk horror classic or a sweet meditation on the power of friendship?

The tale of two pals drawn to a mysterious woodland fire only to find themselves joining together, this is, at its heartwarming core, a story about staying side by side with your loved ones – even in the stickiest circumstances.

*“See it with your bestie!” *

The Great Campfire Caper

**Reviewed by Trixiwoo Raccoon **

At last, a heist movie that speaks Trixiwoo’s language.

After years watching rag-tag teams chase precious gems, rare paintings, and long-lost manuscripts, it’s refreshing to see a film place something actually valuable at the centre of the action: a pair of saucepans and a particularly shiny colander!

*“Truly inspiring. Nabbing notes were taken throughout.” *

Once More With Gusto

Reviewed by Amuseables Zapperty Lightning Bolt

Impressionistic, bold, minimalist. This isn’t a film – it's a work of art.

No warbling or lyrics needed, just sublimely stormy sounds arranged in all their musical glory.

“Bang! Crash! Wallop! Some call it a cacophony – I say it’s genius."
